Popsicles on the porch

We've had some pretty hot weather lately, it even got up to 105 last Monday! Thank goodness for air conditioning! The boys and I took some time out to enjoy a cool treat and play at their water table.

I think James looks just like his Mommy in this picture!

oops! Spilling water on himself. But once he realized how good it felt it turned into a splash fight

The boys would splash and then would pause and hold their arms out before going back to splashing.

Ahh! Feels so good!

We have some pretty cool sunsets out here and this particular night a thunderstorm rolled in as the sun was going down. I only wish my camera could capture it's true beauty.

  1. You should get some Tupperware molds and make popsicles from scratch! Throw in some fresh fruit and blend in blender - something fun for the boys to help out with too ;-)

  2. I tried the popsicle molds and it didn't turn out too well. They were either too hard and you couldn't pull them out. Or they would melt and would stick to the stick:( sighhhh

  3. If they stick to the sides, you can try dipping them in cold water before you pull them out to loosen them from the sides of the molds, but so they don't entirely melt if you dipped the molds into hot water. Just a thought if you try next time.

  4. We use the V8 Fusion juice - the kind that has no added sugar - and the kids call it Popsicle Juice! And yep, dip the molds in water and they should slide right out. Great pictures - LOVE LOVE LOVE having you all so close again!!!
