Andrew's 4th Birthday!

Sunday was Andrew's 4th Birthday! We celebrated on Saturday by taking him to Chuck E Cheese's. This was his first time to Chuck E Cheese, he didn't quite know what to expect, and I must say either did I, it has been years since I've been. A little side story to that, my older sister Angela peed in the ball pit one time at Chuck E Cheese and we had to go home early. Needless to say we didn't go back, I'm not bitter, just stating the facts :) Now where was I... It was very crowded when we first got there, a lot of older kids. There were more arcade games and less play pits condensed into a smaller space than what I can remember but that didn't stop Andrew, James and their friend Bella from having a blast! Andrew wanted a Spiderman party for his birthday, so I went out and got all the goodies for a Spiderman theme. We were going to get cupcakes from Walmart but after I saw their Spiderman selection, I wasn't impressed so I took it upon myself to make my own. Andrew was so excited for his Spiderman cupcakes he had two of them - we've got a growing 4 year old boy on our hands! After pizza, cupcakes, and games we headed back home gave the boys a bath and let Andrew open up his presents a day early.

Chocolate cupcakes with homemade butter cream frosting.

Ms. Carol sent Andrew this shirt for his birthday. Her niece has her own business making shirts and she did this one for Andrew. Big 4 years old! He loved it! Thanks Ms. Carol!

Andrew and Bella waiting to dig into the pizza!

I'm not sure what Chuck E Cheese puts in their pizza but Andrew and James both ate 3 pieces!

ChuckE came to our table, James loved him, Andrew hid under the table

Christmas - oops I mean Andrew's birthday

I know there are many of you that wish you could have been here for Andrew's birthday, I did my best to capture the day's festivities and I hope it makes you feel like you were here. I assure you that your presence was felt, as Andrew was filled with joy through your love and wonderful wishes - and of course your gifts:)

Here is some video I captured of Andrew opening up some of his gifts. My camera battery died towards the end, so I apologize if I did not get record of him opening up your gift. As you will see, he loved everything he got. Now the new task at hand is getting him to share his new things with James so that we don't have World War III ;)

Apparently a couple people got the same memo for Spiderman wrapping paper:)

this is Andrew's IronMan Face

A book "This is Paris" from Auntie Lynanne and Uncle Brett who live in Paris!

Flowers for Mommy

Andrew has been voicing stories about his Mommy quite a bit in the past week. I hear him in his room talking when he wakes up from his nap. He tells me he is talking to God about Mommy and how he misses her. I tell him that it's okay to miss Mommy and that she misses him too, that his Mommy is always with him in his heart and when he talks to God, Mommy can hear him too. I thought I'd share a cute story that Andrew has been telling me a lot lately. He says that when we get to his new house in Idaho, he wants to plant a garden of red flowers for Mommy. Then when his flowers are all grown he is going to take the biggest and prettiest red flower up to heaven and give it to Mommy. He is such a sweet boy, he makes my heart melt!

Just Dance

Here is some more video of our dancing boys...Andrew asks me almost daily for a dance party :)

Andrew has a Handy Manny toy and James loves it, he thinks it is his "doll." Here is James (wearing brothers shoes) and Manny having a dance. Andrew shows off his Irish jig dancing skills as well.

Rainy day crafts

The past couple days the weather has been a bit stormy which meant it was time to break out the paint for some crafts. This was the first time that I did paint with James, I stripped him down to his diaper and covered everything knowing that this would be a bit messy. Big brother on the other hand, stayed very clean with the exception of paint on his hands.

James seem to think his leg was the best canvas for his masterpiece

Don't worry - it's not blood, just paint, James was proud of his body art

Andrew and I practiced mixing primary colors Red, yellow and blue to see what other colors could be made

James had paint all over him....into the bath we go!
