Pillsbury dough boy, the Daytona 10,000 and the dance machine

Yesterday was the boys day off from school so we had some fun around the apartment to keep them busy and entertained. Rob had bought some pre-made cookie dough so Andrew and I could make some cookies. While James took his nap we got to work in the kitchen.

Although I'm more a fan of home made cookies these were quick and easy for Andrew and I to do. Fun colors too!
Rob and I were commenting on how old Andrew looks in these pictures!
Ready for some oven lovin! :)

One of Andrew and James favorite things to do is race cars around the coffee table and around and around and around....We call it the Daytona 10,000...they just can't get enough, especially Andrew. We covered the coffee table first with saran wrap and then with one of those rug grippers because after a few laps their cars had left some skid marks.
Andrew and I had a dance party yesterday. James was only interested for a little bit. Andrew danced for a good half hour and made sure I was right there dancing with him. Here is some video of the dance machine.

An update on the boys and their first two days at school: Andrew did really well, he has quite a few kids in his class and was excited to find out there are cars in his classroom to play with. James is having a harder time adjusting, he usually cries when I drop him off, but does fine after a few minutes. It has been tiring for him though, when I picked them up today James was asleep in the swing, poor kid was all tuckered out! He took a really good nap this afternoon, and on days when he doesn't have school he takes 2 great naps. So far school is going good, I'm looking forward to seeing some art projects from Andrew.

  1. LOOOOOOOOVED the dancing machine! Maybe Rob should think about enrolling Andrew in dance of some sort and see how he does?? But for now, we'll stick with your videos ;-)
